California's RX Monitoring Program in Peril



I was listening to NPR this morning, and I heard a story about yet another valuable program being lost to budget cuts.

Last year Gov. Brown announced that he was eliminating the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement which allows providers, pharmacies, and law enforcement to monitor prescriptions filled throughout the state.

  1. How unfortunate that politicians think education and healthcare programs are expendable. Now, more than ever, we need to be socially aware and politically engaged or more valuable programs will continue to be cut.
